I’m a late Twenty-something first time mum from Hampshire, UK, that went to Oman (that bit wedged between the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Yemen) in 2009 to work. While there I met The Grumpy Egyptian and in 2012 we got married. Despite being told from a young age that I was going to struggle to conceive without medical help, I began feeling a little unwell in the September of that year. Shooting forward nine months and a charming spot of hyperemesis gravidarum (yep that thing Kate Middleton had) with an emergency c-section at 37 weeks for good measure and the Mini Grumpy Egyptian sprung into our lives. We decided it would be best to raise her in the UK around her family, so back to my hometown we came and this blog began.
However it didn't have a fairytale ending and now I find myself as a single parent to a little girl who is thankfully the most wonderful person on this planet. I'm struggling to find my way, but we are getting there one day at a time.
I hope you like this blog and please do comment and get in touch (see here for details) as I love hearing from you.
